Ryann Reed Design Build is seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator & Project Manager to support our growing commercial construction division. This position will oversee both pre-construction estimating and active project coordination, helping ensure commercial buildouts and renovation projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to client expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in commercial estimating, project oversight, vendor coordination, and budget management within fast-paced construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Prepare detailed project estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and vendor services
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop accurate budgets
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and identify cost-impacting variables during pre-construction planning
- Solicit and compare subcontractor/vendor pricing to support competitive bidding
- Assist in proposal preparation and budget presentation for internal and client review
Project Management
- Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and workflow from kickoff through completion
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and supplier relationships throughout project execution
- Track project costs and maintain alignment with approved budgets
- Monitor project progress to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards
- Communicate updates, schedule changes, and project needs with internal teams and stakeholders
- Resolve project-related issues proactively to maintain momentum and efficiency
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial estimating, project management, or a combined role
- Background in tenant fit-outs, retail, or franchise construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction documents and cost control practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Clear communication and vendor coordination skills
- Familiarity with construction/project management software (JobTread experience is a plus)
