Ryann Reed Design Build

Ryann Reed Design Build

Controller / Bookkeeper - Residential Design Build & Exterior Remodeling

Location: Langhorne, PA (On-site)

Companies: Ryann Reed Design Build & Remodeling Concepts

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us

We're two growing brands under one mission - helping homeowners love where they live.

  • Remodeling Concepts specializes in roofing, siding, and window replacements.
  • Ryann Reed Design Build delivers high-end kitchens, bathrooms, and home additions.

Together, we're building a company poised for major growth in the Philadelphia suburbs -- and we're looking for a hands-on Controller / Bookkeeper who can help drive that next phase forward.

The Opportunity

At this stage, you'll be deep in the day-to-day financials - managing bookkeeping, cash flow, reporting, and job cost tracking. But as we scale, this role will evolve into a true leadership position, building out a small accounting and admin team to support rapid expansion.

We need someone who's not just comfortable in the details - but thrives on creating clarity, structure, and strategy from them.

If you've been part of a company that's scaled fast and know what it takes to professionalize financial operations, this is your opportunity to help lead that transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Oversee job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reports, and financial tracking by project and brand
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, budget vs. actual reports, and key financial dashboards
  • Coordinate with ownership and department heads on financial planning, cost control, and forecasting
  • Manage and optimize systems within QuickBooks Online, JobTread, and related tools
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for review with leadership
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy across all financial transactions and records
  • Lead or support banking, credit, and insurance relationships
  • As growth continues, recruit and manage additional accounting staff

Who You Are

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or controller roles
  • Strong understanding of construction or design-build accounting (job costing, WIP, etc.)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and ideally a construction project management system (Job Tread)
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys creating structure in fast-moving environments
  • Proven track record supporting or leading a company through high-growth periods
  • Detail-oriented yet able to see the big picture -- you can be in the weeds today and build a scalable system for tomorrow
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Why Join Us

  • Be part of an ambitious, fast-growing company with a strong foundation
  • Work alongside passionate owners and creative teams
  • Opportunity to grow into a Director of Finance or CFO-level role as the company scales
  • Competitive pay, growth path, and a collaborative culture that values initiative and results
