Ryann Reed Design Build is a growing high-end residential remodeling and construction company committed to excellence, collaboration, and client satisfaction. We're looking for a highly detail-oriented Estimator / Purchaser to join our team. This dual role will play a critical part in both project estimating and procurement management, ensuring our projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate project estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
• Review project plans, blueprints, and client notes to understand the full scope.
• Gather and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes; update cost databases.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs and identify project risks.
• Collaborate with sales, design, and project management teams to create comprehensive budgets.
• Format and present final proposals for client meetings.
• Communicate final budgets to project managers, coordinators, and designers.

Purchaser Responsibilities:

• Coordinate procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Research, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective and quality sourcing.
• Prepare purchase orders and track deliveries to meet project timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs.
• Ensure materials meet specifications and contracts comply with standards.
• Maintain positive supplier relationships and resolve disputes quickly.
• Provide accurate procurement cost data for budget planning.

What Success Looks Like (KPIs):

• Accuracy: Estimates within 2% of actual project costs.
• Efficiency: Estimates completed within 13 weeks (depending on project size).
• Detail: 100% of estimates include full cost breakdowns.
• Procurement: 95% on-time delivery of materials with 2% supplier defect rate.
• Savings: Achieve 510% cost savings through negotiation and sourcing.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in estimating, purchasing, or construction project management (residential remodeling/design-build preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in estimating and project management software.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams.
